Welcome to the ash trees spotter’s network GISat. The data collected and shared will help monitor and manage the emerald ash borer (EAB) infestation.
Your collaboration could make a difference! Mapping private ash trees in urban areas (mainly) is an important asset for both urban forest managers and citizens in order to prepare for and respond to infestations.
When submitting your observation online, you will be asked to send a photo of the ash tree. Although this step is optional, photos will help confirm the accuracy of your identification, especially if you have doubts. We encourage you to do so.
On the GISat network you will find information on ash trees as well as an identification key (tab: Ash trees). Descriptions and pictures of various ash tree features will help you identify the species. If you cannot identify the species, you can select the option ‘’unknown’’.
